Our Hometown, Syracuse, NY

Syracuse, NY

CommonFund Mortgage was organized in Syracuse, NY back in 1983 and we’re proud to call it our home. Most of the time our city is mentioned, it is regarding the large amount of snow that falls in the region averaging 124 inches per year. But Syracuse, NY has much more to offer then snow drifts and cold weather.

Syracuse is more affordable to live than most major US metro areas making it an ideal place for young professionals and families to settle down and put down roots here. Not only that but the four seasons Syracuse experiences allows residents to enjoy a large variety of activities from skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months, apple picking in the fall, swimming and picnics at the park in the summer to feeding the ducks at our many waterways in the spring! There is never a dull moment in Syracuse!

One of the biggest reasons for families and their extended families to stay in the Syracuse area is the low-cost housing. The cost of living is quite affordable in the area in comparison to other cities of similar size in the US. This makes it easier to stay close to loved ones without having to live in the same house. However, Syracuse residents tend to spend more on everyday necessities like groceries and utilities, which are minor setbacks to the overall advantage of affordable living.

Young professionals and families are also attracted to the large number of kid-friendly activities and facilities ranging from the Milton J. Rubinstein Museum of Science & Technology at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. For less kid-centric activities you’ll find the friendly bars and clubs in the Syracuse area packed and full of activity. If sports are more your thing, Syracuse is a long time host to long-time American Hockey League team the Syracuse Crunch! More into college sports? There’s always the Syracuse Orange athletic teams to cheer for in addition to a number of other local sports teams!

There’s just so much to do and so many reasons to live in Syracuse, NY! CommonFund Mortgage is proud to call this city our home and we stand ready to help you put down your own roots in such a wonderful place to live!
