The Loan Officer Assistant position supports our Sales Manager in sales, marketing, and administrative duties. A successful candidate will present themselves with the highest degree of professionalism while fostering important relationships with realtors and borrowers in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn about the mortgage industry and/or improve your skills as it relates to mortgage sales.


  • Pre-qualify borrowers using credit guidelines and various AUS systems
  • Assists Loan Officer in preparing mortgage loan applications
  • Collects borrower loan documentation
  • Prepare mortgage loan application documentation including loan estimate and 1003 Application
  • Communicates loan status with borrowers, realtors, and other related parties
  • Assist the sales manager with marketing activities
  • Ensures loan files are complete and processed in a timely manner
  • Maintain an active pipeline
  • Other duties as assigned


  • One year or more of related experience preferred
  • Mortgage loan processing experience helpful
  • Must be licensed or obtain NYS Mortgage Loan Originator License upon hire
  • Knowledge of Encompass extremely helpful
  • Experienced with marketing using social media platforms
  • Must be exceptionally detail oriented in order to maintain efficient workflow
  • Inside and/or direct sales experience helpful
  • Ability to multi-task in order to meet deadlines
  • Strong computer skills are required
