The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for the efficient transition of the loan application from Mortgage Loan Originator to Underwriter. The primary duties include collection, review, and verification of required financial and personal information in order to submit a completed loan file to the underwriting department.


  • Coordinate FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional loan intake from mortgage loan officer
  • Prioritize and manage pipeline in order to meet anticipated commitment date
  • Track loan progress in order to maintain timely submission to underwriting department
  • Organize paper and electronic loan file; Reviews and updates LOS input data for accuracy and compliance
  • Process application fees
  • Reviews loan application and disclosures for accuracy and completeness ; Ensures all disclosures collected meet regulatory requirements
  • Review Mavent Compliance report to ensure loan file meets all compliance requirements
  • Obtain missing information and/or correct inaccurate documentation such as bank statement, w-2’s, tax returns, paystubs, credit reports, etc.
  • Order FHA case number, CAIVRS, Appraisal, Verification of Employment (VOE), 4506 Transcripts, LDP/GSA verifications, address verifications, SSN verifications
  • Work with underwriter to send out commitment letters and resolve outstanding conditions
  • Clear , precise, and professional communications with borrowers, co-workers, referral agents, and third party vendors
  • Functions vary based on loan complexity
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Mortgage loan processing experience preferred
  • Experience with Encompass helpful, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Solid analytical capabilities
